ISPO Certification System Elucidation
The Indonesian Sustainable Palm Oil (ISPO) Certification System is a policy of the Ministry of Agriculture which aims to increase the competitiveness of Indonesian palm oil in the world market, reduce greenhouse gases, and pay attention to environmental and social-employment issues.
The implementation of Indonesia’s Sustainable Palm Oil Plantation Certification is regulated in the Minister of Agriculture Regulation No. 38 of 2020, which contains criteria for fulfilling legality, environmental management, plantation management, and social responsibility.
ISPO Certification System Service Scope
PT SUCOFINDO has been accredited by the ISPO Commission to conduct an audit process with the following scope:
- Oil Palm Plantation Products Processing Business
- Oil Palm Plantation Cultivation Business
- Integration of Oil Palm Plantation Cultivation Businesses and Oil Palm Plantation Product Processing Businesses
Certification Requirements
- Plantation Business Assessment (PUP) by the local Plantation Office
- Have a valid Cultivation Right (HGU).
- Have a minimum of 2 (two) internal auditors who have attended and passed the ISPO auditor training organized by the ISPO Commission
