Ogan Ilir, 2 July 2026 – PT SUCOFINDO (PERSERO), in collaboration with the National
Association of Village Consultative Bodies (ABPEDNAS), inaugurated a clean water well
facility for the community of Pulau Semambu Village, North Indralaya District, Ogan Ilir
Regency, South Sumatra, on Friday (27/6). The facility reflects the collaboration between
both parties in supporting the fulfilment of clean water needs while strengthening the quality
of life of rural communities through the provision of safe and sustainable access to clean
water.
The inauguration was marked by the signing of a commemorative plaque by the Chairman of
the ABPEDNAS Supervisory Board, Prof. Dr. Reda Manthovani, witnessed by the Chairman
of ABPEDNAS and Vice Chairman for Education of the Jakarta Branch of the Indonesian
Journalists Association (PWI), Jaya Indra Utama, Head of PT SUCOFINDO (PERSERO)
Palembang Branch, Andhies Arman, and Head of the Social and Environmental
Responsibility (TJSL) Unit of PT SUCOFINDO (PERSERO), Nuri Hidayat.
President Director of PT SUCOFINDO (PERSERO), Sandry Pasambuna, stated that
collaboration with various stakeholders is an important part of delivering benefits that can be
directly felt by the community.
“We believe that sustainable development requires collaboration. Our synergy with
ABPEDNAS is a tangible step towards delivering direct benefits to the community while
strengthening the role of villages in improving the quality of life of their residents. Through
collaborations such as this, we hope that more people will gain access to better basic
necessities,
” said Sandry.
He added that the inauguration of the clean water well in Pulau Semambu Village is also part
of the 70th anniversary celebration of PT SUCOFINDO (PERSERO), which carries the spirit
of continuing to grow together with the community.
“The 70th anniversary of SUCOFINDO serves as a reminder that the company’s growth
must go hand in hand with its contributions to society. We hope that this facility will be
utilised and maintained collectively so that it can support the health, productivity, and welfare
of the people of Pulau Semambu Village and continue to provide benefits for generations to
come,
” Sandry added.
The clean water well construction programme forms part of the implementation of PT
SUCOFINDO (PERSERO)’s Social and Environmental Responsibility (TJSL) initiatives,
which focus on improving the quality of life of communities through the fulfilment of basic
needs. Through this programme, SUCOFINDO continues to encourage collaboration with
various stakeholders to ensure that its benefits are experienced more broadly and
sustainably.
Head of the Social and Environmental Responsibility Unit of PT SUCOFINDO (PERSERO),
Nuri Hidayat, stated that the success of the programme is measured not only by theavailability of facilities but also by the community’s involvement in maintaining and utilising
them.

Semambu Village,
