JAKARTA, (10/9) – PT SUCOFINDO won the Adi Niti award for the EIA (Environmental Impact Assessment) Compiler Service Provider (LPJP) category. This award was presented by the Minister of the Environment and Forestry of the Republic of Indonesia, Siti Nurbaya, to the President Director of PT SUCOFINDO, Jobi Triananda. Also attending the event were Vice Minister of the Environment and Forestry, Alue Dohong, and Head of the Agency for Standardization of Environment and Forestry Instruments, Ary Sudijanto. The Adi Niti award is given to individuals, groups, or institutions deemed to have contributed to environmental and forestry conservation efforts in Indonesia.
Minister of the Environment and Forestry Siti Nurbaya, in her opening remarks, expressed hope that everyone can take part in making positive changes to the nation and contribute to natural resources management by leading by example so they can be role models to local and global communities. “We must be able to overcome turbulences in managing the environment and forestry sector together. Thus, we can create a balance that is just. I invite everyone to join hands to utilize standards to control the quality of the environment and forests,” she said.
In the meantime, President Director of PT SUCOFINDO Jobi Triananda stated that the Adi Niti Award manifests SUCOFINDO’s commitment to supporting the Ministry of the Environment and Forestry in overcoming and managing environmental quality, namely through orderly EIA reports of businesspeople. “In composing the Environmental Impact Assessment, we have the capacity and competence with the most EIA Heads and Teams spread all over Indonesia, so we are capable of meeting the needs of businesspeople in Indonesia for composing EIA. Moving forward, we are ready to support the Ministry in enhancing the competence of SUCOFINDO’s EIA teams in order to follow the dynamics of applicable regulations,” he said.
