The forest product inspection and verification service by PT SUCOFINDO ensure conformity in quality and quantity to a cooperation agreement on sale and purchase transactions and compliance with applicable provisions/regulations and standards that have been jointly determined.

Forestry Product Inspection and Verification Service Scope

In its services, the scope of inspection and verification of PT SUCOFINDO’s forestry products includes:

  • Log Inspection to determine the type of wood, quality, and quantity of logs
  • Plantation Origin verification ensures that wood forest products used as raw materials in the production process of forestry business units come from plantation origins.
  • Legal Origin Verification (VLO) ensures that timber forest products used as raw materials in the production process of forestry business units come from legal sources (legal origin).
  • Legal Compliance Verification To ensure that wood forest products used as raw materials in the production process of forestry business units come from sources that meet the regulations used (legal compliance)
  • Export Verification of Forestry Industry Products to ensure that the products to be exported have complied with the provisions or standards set by verifying the conformity of export documents and physical export goods.
  • Log Verification to ensure the quality and or quantity of logs owned by the forestry business unit.
  • Prokalino verification to ensure that processed wood products and their derivatives, as well as finished goods made from Ironwood, are in accordance with Minister of Forestry Regulation No. 35/Menhut-II/2009
  • Verify Inter-Island Timber Trade Permit (PKAPT) holders to ensure the existence and information regarding Registered Inter-Island Timber Trade Permit (PKAPT) holders.
  • Verification of Registered Exporters of Forestry Industrial Products (ETPIK) to ensure the existence and information related to permit holders.
  • The Timber Traceability System monitoring uses information system technology and field verification to ensure that a log complies with forest product administration regulations and that the quality and quantity of the timber do not change.
