Jakarta, 26/7– PT SUCOFINDO accompanied the Halal Product Assurance Organizing Body (BPJPH) in presenting the Halal Certification to Flip’NFry. The halal certificate was handed over by the Head of BPJPH, represented by the Head of the Registration and Certification Center of BPJPH, Siti Aminah, and also accompanied by the Head of the Halal Unit/Head of LPH PT SUCOFINDO, Agus Suryanto.
The Head of BPJPH of the Ministry of Religious Affairs of Indonesia, represented by Siti Aminah, Head of the Registration and Halal Certification Center of BPJPH, appreciated Flip’NFry’s commitment to creating a safe restaurant in this predominantly Muslim-populated country. This aligns with the commitment of BPJPH to realizing higher-quality implementation of Halal Product Assurance (JPH).
“The halal certification process conducted by the BPJPH of the Ministry of Religious Affairs, especially for the F&B business, involves three parties, namely BPJPH, the Indonesian Ulema Council (MUI), and the Halal Inspection Agency (LPH), in this case SUCOFINDO. Each party has duties and responsibilities in the halal certification stages, from the product owner submission to certificate issuance. This process aims to provide guarantees and protections to the public that the products they consume comply with Islamic sharia. In addition, this process also benefits business actors, such as increasing consumer trust, expanding markets, and improving product quality,” said Siti Aminah.
Furthermore, the founder of Flip’NFry and also the Operational Director of PT Karya Boga Perkasa, Martinus Tara, emphasized that as the country with the largest Muslim population in the world, the halal status is a crucial consideration for Indonesian consumers when choosing food. Moreover, there is a noticeable significant growth in halal food globally.
“We found that Indonesian consumers are very aware and conscious of the food they consume. This was indicated by a number of visitors who came to the Flip’NFry outlet asking whether we had obtained halal certification. As a new homegrown brand in the F&B industry, we aim to demonstrate our commitment to developing this product for the entire community and our stakeholders,” said Martin.
In line with Martin, the President Director of PT Karya Boga Perkasa and its founder, Rida Saputra Widjaja, hopes that this Halal Certificate can instill confidence in the community that the products or services produced have undergone a transparent, fair process and comply with applicable halal regulations. It not only impacts meeting consumer needs but also contributes positively to the economic development and halal industry in the country.
