Jakarta, (19/4) – PT SUCOFINDO, as a Validation and Verification Institution (LVV), also supports the Nationally Determined Contribution (NDC) commitment to reducing Greenhouse Gas emissions. The Director of Industrial Services PT SUCOFINDO, Budi Utomo, said that this support was carried out through SUCOFINDO services, Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) consultancy.
“ESG consultancy services can encourage sustainable practices and facilitate investment in climate change mitigation and adaptation projects so that they can support the achievement of the Enhanced Nationally Determination Contribution (ENDC) target in reducing emissions,” said The Director of Industrial Services PT SUCOFINDO, Budi Utomo.
Apart from that, Budi Utomo added that ESG Consultancy services can also help companies create an ESG roadmap, which will later become the company’s foundation for sustainably implementing ESG, with an orientation towards people, planet, and profit. “We also provide training related to ESG to increase awareness of and help companies understand and implement ESG in every business process,” said Budi Utomo.
Therefore, to optimize ESG consulting services, Budi Utomo encouraged PT SUCOFINDO’s HR capacity, namely by participating in the International Business Machines Corporation (IBM) Envizi ESG Suite training organized by the International Business Machines Corporation (IBM) in Singapore. “Envizi is a SaaS (Software as a Service) based ESG suite that can simplify the discovery, consolidation, management, and analysis of sustainability data, all included in one unified recording system. This training aims to understand the features provided by Envizi, from automatic data capture, and data monitoring at each work location, to creating ESG reports and publishing data in a format that suits integrated workflows and data transparency. So, with this training, SUCOFINDO can provide services to customers more efficiently and accurately,” said Budi Utomo.
Furthermore, Prithi Krishnaswamy as the Senior Technical Architect, Ecosystem Engineering International Business Machines Corporation (IBM) India PVT LTD, said that Envizi is a comprehensive tool that can accelerate ESG creation and accelerate the decarbonization of a company.
“Envizi can capture, report, and analyze emissions produced by an organization in near-real time, and utilize this information to track company performance against the company’s sustainability commitments and achievements,” said Prithi.
During the five days of training, PGS Vice President of SBU Certification and Eco framework PT SUCOFINDO, Uus Usman, said that Envizi has the potential as a tool to help the PT SUCOFINDO verifier team to verify data in a shorter time and more accurately so that it will reduce the possibility of errors in reporting data. “We are optimistic that PT SUCOFINDO will be able to support stakeholders in harmonizing business by implementing environmental and social sustainability, and good governance through GHG Validation and Verification Services,” said Uus.
