Pontianak (1/2) – PT SUCOFINDO inaugurated the new location for the Pontianak Branch of SUCOFINDO’s office and laboratory building. on Jl. Artery Supadio KM. 12.5 Limbung Charcoal, Kec. Raya River, Kab. Kingdom Fortress. According to the Main Director of PT SUCOFINDO, Mas Wigrantoro Roes Setiyadi, this new location is PT SUCOFINDO’s commitment to be closer to customers, as well as one of the refocusing strategies for mining services, especially in the West Kalimantan region.
“PT SUCOFINDO Pontianak Branch is a business unit of PT SUCOFINDO in the West Kalimantan working area. We hope that this new location will be able to optimize services to the community and industry players, given the increasing demand from West Kalimantan industry players, especially in the mining, plantation and industrial sectors,” said PT SUCOFINDO President Director Mas Wigrantoro Roes Setiyadi.
Furthermore, for refocusing mining services Mas Wigrantoro said PT SUCOFINDO Pontianak Branch is capable of serving downstream and upstream testing. “We also encourage mining companies to implement good mining practices, so they are able to comply with applicable regulations. Therefore, we have services in providing education, training, and Mining Governance verification services, to post-mining reclamation consultancy,” said Mas Wigrantoro.
With the implementation of good mining practices, Mas Wigrantoro added that it is in line with PT SUCOFINDO’s commitment as an IDSurvey for mining governance and the implementation of Sustainability Development Goals (SDGs), which are related to Responsible Consumption. “Where in 2030 it is hoped that sustainable and efficient management of natural products globally. To fulfill good mining practices, PT SUCOFINDO has integrated quality control services from mining to the port of loading (pit to port integrated quality control), and also supports the application of the Mineral and Coal Information System (SIMBARA),” said Mas Wigrantoro.
PT SUCOFINDO’s SIMBARA application collaborates with the Ministry of Finance together with the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources, the Ministry of Trade, the Ministry of Transportation and Bank Indonesia which is supported and supervised by the Coordinating Ministry for Maritime Affairs and Investment and the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK).
Head of PT SUCOFINDO Pontianak Branch Paolo Manurung added that optimizing mining services also promotes collaboration. “We are also collaborating with several parties, such as government and private institutions in conducting education or training for business actors so they are able to comply with applicable regulations,” said Paolo.
Paolo continued that apart from optimizing the mining sector, PT SUCOFINDO Pontianak Branch supports the potential of the West Kalimantan region with services in the plantation, agriculture and environmental sectors. “Our laboratory is also equipped with test facilities in the environmental, plantation and agricultural sectors. In addition, we are able to support business actors to increase their competitiveness, especially MSMEs, with a halal certification test service,” said Paolo.
Currently, PT SUCOFINDO Pontianak Branch has service units in Kendawangan, Ketapang (West Kalimantan) and Pangkalan Bun (Central Kalimantan), and has several sites, such as in Singkawang, Tayan / Antam / ICA, Sanggau, Belitang, Sintang, and several sites surrounding. “And it is planned to open a new operational unit in the Kijing area, Mempawah Regency,” said Paolo.
For the Kijing Site, Paolo added that he has a projection of becoming a center for smelters, asphalt, crude palm oil (CPO) exports, bauxite and fuel transshipment. “In the future we will continue to support and explore the potential of the West Kalimantan region.
