West Nusa Tenggara (16/1) – PT SUCOFINDO handed over the SNI ISO 45001:2018 certificate, concerning the Occupational Safety and Health Management System (SMK3) for PT Amman Mineral Nusa Tenggara (PT AMNT). The SMK3 certificate was handed over directly by the Commercial Director of PT SUCOFINDO Darwin Abas to the Head of Mining Engineering at PT Amman Mineral Nusa Tenggara, Wudi Raharjo, witnessed by I Gede Putu Aryadi, Head of the Manpower and Transmigration Office (Kadis), West Nusa Tenggara Province.
The submission of the SNI ISO 45001: 2018 Certificate was carried out in one of the commemoration sessions of the 2023 National Occupational Safety and Health (K3) Month, January 12, 2023, at PT AMNT. This event carries the theme “Realization of Decent Work with an OSH culture to Support Business Continuity in Every Workplace”.
Commercial Director of PT SUCOFINDO Darwin Abas appreciated PT AMNT for successfully obtaining the SMK3 certificate. “For this success, we congratulate and hope that in the future PT Amman Mineral Nusa Tenggara can continue to maintain its commitment to implementing SMK3 in every business process,” said Darwin Abas.
Darwin added that obtaining a certificate and implementing SMK3, would make it easier for PT AMNT to manage and mitigate risks. “The desired goals and results from implementing SMK3 are preventing injuries and work-related illnesses to employees, as well as providing a safe and healthy workplace,” said Darwin.
Furthermore, Darwin is optimistic that PT AMNT will be able to maintain its commitment to implementing SMK3 in a sustainable manner in various lines of work.
Head of Mining Engineering at PT Amman Mineral Nusa Tenggara, Wudi Raharjo said that the implementation of K3 is PT AMNT’s commitment. “The implementation of OSH in every business process in a sustainable manner is the key to success in creating a safe and healthy Batu Hijau. This is capable of identifying hazards, risk assessment, and proper control,” said Wudi.
Therefore, Wudi appealed to PT AMMNT employees to actively participate in all National OSH Month activities as a form of commitment and support for OSH.
Head of SBU Certification and Eco Framework Budi Utomo stated that PT SUCOFINDO can serve PT AMNT for surveillance audits, which will be carried out 2 times a year in accordance with ERM (Enterprise Risk Management). “Renewal of certification with a new scope is in accordance with the operational development plan at PT AMNT. In addition, we can support sustainability actions at PT AMNT, through energy audit services and SNI ISO 50001:2018 energy management system certification, Greenport certification, green/gold PROPER, green building certification, and calculation of carbon absorption for the mangrove conservation program.”, added Budi Utomo.
In addition, for the coverage of the West Nusa Tenggara area, PT SUCOFINDO through the Benete Service Unit will continue to be committed to providing the best service for PT AMNT. “Especially with PT AMNT’s plan to expand the mining area at the Elang site to support the smelter, we are ready to help according to the services we have,” said the Head of SBU Mineral PT SUCOFINDO Suprapto.
