Bali (27/1)- PT SUCOFINDO won the 2022 Indonesia Mining Services Award in the category of Other Services Business Group (Surveyor) for a Gold level rating. This event was organized by the Indonesian Mining Services Association (Aspindo) together with the Mining Magazine in Bali.
Director of Engineering and Environment for Mineral and Coal at the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources, Sunindyo Suryo Herdadi congratulated the winners and hoped that the companies would have a good influence on other companies that did not meet the criteria.
“We congratulate the winners. In the future, we hope to be consistent in maintaining the performance of the national coal mining service business,” said Sunindyo.
Bambang Setiawan as the jury team stated that the mining service companies that were nominated had gone through a rigorous assessment process.
“The team of assessors worked so hard, there is one fact that cannot be denied, that the mining services business has a significant role in the mining operational chain,” said Bambang.
Furthermore, Commercial Director of PT SUCOFINDO Darwin Abas said that PT SUCOFINDO’s support for national mining is to consistently support the government in encouraging business actors to implement responsible mining industry practices (responsible mining).
Darwin Abas explained that the service includes mineral and coal mining, and is expected to help maintain the quality and quantity of commodities.
He added, there is also a service to verify sales of mineral and coal products both domestically and for export and ensure compliance with government regulations.
In addition, in terms of state revenue, for mineral and coal mining, Sucofindo also has the production capacity and capability verification services, transportation, sales, and support for mining database management.
“In assisting mining industry players to maintain Occupational Health and Safety, Sucofindo is equipped with audit services and Mining Safety Management System certification as well as equipment feasibility inspections,” said Darwin Abas.
As for SUCOFINDO, in its Inspection services for the mineral and coal mining industry, it is equipped with the latest test laboratories and qualified equipment. “In addition, the increased capacity and capability of operational equipment in the SUCOFINDO laboratory can be utilized by the mining industry such as unmanned aerial vehicles (UAV) for area mapping,” explained Darwin.
“In the future, we will continue to be committed to increasing capability and quality in supporting the national mining industry, which will also have the potential to expand abroad,” explained Darwin Abas.
Furthermore, the Head of the Coal Strategic Business Unit (SBU) Limlim Abdul Halim added that in support of responsible mining, PT SUCOFINDO, part of the BUMN Survey Services Holding (IDSurvey) is strongly committed to supporting the Mineral and Coal Information System (SIMBARA). This system is to integrate mining data from upstream to downstream.
In addition, the Head of Coal SBU Limlim Abdul Halim added that in terms of services in mineral and coal mining, PT SUCOFINDO is equipped with risk mitigation services, consulting on compliance with mining principles that are both governance and technical, fulfillment of quality, environmental and Occupational Health and Safety (K3).
“SUCOFINDO is also able to provide mining planning services, mine progress surveys, inventory counts (stocktaking), and quality control of mining products to the integrated port of loading (pit to port integrated quality control) as well as daily production monitoring. In addition, services for monitoring backfill activities, mine reclamation, and in the future it is in the development stage of testing the compatibility of burning coal with power plants,” said Limlim
To guarantee service quality in the field of mineral and coal mining services, PT SUCOFINDO has achieved accreditation No. LP-1008-IDN certificate dated 22 June 2020 as a Mineral Test Laboratory according to SNI ISO/IEC 17025: 2017 and Coal Proficiency Test Operator according to SNI ISO/IEC 17043:2010 with No. PUP-027-IDN certificate dated March 17, 2021, from the National Accreditation Committee (KAN).
“This accreditation is international recognition for SUCOFINDO’s services and this is important, given SUCOFINDO’s vision of becoming competitive, reliable, and trusted World Class Company in the fields of inspection, testing, certification, consulting, and training,” concluded Limlim.
