Realizing Bakti BUMN, KBUMN and PT SUCOFINDO Held Training on Impact Measurement of Social and Environmental Responsibility Program

Jakarta, August 31, 2022 - PT SUCOFINDO together with the Ministry of State-Owned Enterprises (BUMN)  held a Technical Guidance (BIMTEK) and Workshop on Impact Measurement of the Social and Environmental Responsibility (TJSL) program using the Social Return on Investment (SROI) method, as a form of BUMN Service. This activity is in line with the direction of the Minister of State-Owned Enterprises, Erick Thohir, based on the Regulation of the Ministry of State-Owned Enterprises (BUMN) No. PER-05/MBU/04/2021 Article 4 point C and Article 22 point (3), namely regarding the measurement of the impact of the BUMN Social and Environmental Responsibility (TJSL) program.

Furthermore, Erick Thohir as the Ministry of State-Owned Enterprises (BUMN) said that this BIMTEK activity was a debriefing so that State-Owned Enterprises were more professional, transparent, and accountable in strengthening the pillars of social, economic, and environmental development so as to create an advanced, prosperous and global Indonesia. "The Ministry of State-Owned Enterprises (BUMN) consistently encourages system transformation and improvement, including in Social and Environmental Responsibility (TJSL). SOE and TJSL is a joint breakthrough to help equalize and balance the economy for all Indonesian people," added Erick.

The activity, which was attended by 61 state-owned enterprises and subsidiaries of state-owned enterprises, was carried out during August 25-26 and was also attended by the Deputy for Human Resources, Technology and Information of the Ministry of State-Owned Enterprises (BUMN), Tedi Bharata, Assistant to the Deputy for Social and Environmental Responsibility of the Ministry of State-Owned Enterprises (BUMN), Edi Eko Cahyono, President Director of PT Biro Statistik Indonesia (Persero) and Chairman of Holding IDSurvey Rudiyanto, President Director of PT SUCOFINDO Mas Wigrantoro Roes Setiyadi, and Director of Finance and Risk Management of PT SUCOFINDO Budi Hartanto.

Deputy for State-Owned Enterprises Human Resources, Technology, and Information at the Ministry of State-Owned Enterprises (BUMN), Tedi Bharata said that the implementation of the BIMTEK SROI activity was expected to provide knowledge to calculate the impact of the Social and Environmental Responsibility (TJSL) program. “This BIMTEK SROI encourages 5 transformations related to Social and Environmental Responsibility (TJSL), namely the first to focus on impact, the second to improve governance. We maintain and improve governance both at the Ministry and BUMN. Third, we encourage technology, both reporting and procedures for CSR activities, to use technology, including reporting to the Ministry of State-Owned Enterprises (BUMN). Fourth, this activity is a form of collaboration, where SUCOFINDO has the competence in providing sharing to all State-Owned Enterprises. Fifth, employee participation in CSR activities,” said Tedi.

This is in line with what was conveyed by the President Director of PT Biro Statistik Indonesia (Persero) Rudiyato, that the Ministry of State-Owned Enterprises not only makes programs but also focuses on its impact, one of which is through the SROI method, "SROI is a proven method which later becomes a new index for companies, so in BUMN this is a pioneer.”

The President Director of PT SUCOFINDO Mas Wigrantoro Roes Setiyadi said that "The SROI method has a strategic advantage, namely, it involves the stakeholders of a program/project that will be analyzed to explore various impacts felt after the program/project is running."

Furthermore, Mas Wigrantoro added that this program is a tangible form of PT SUCOFINDO in supporting BUMN Bakti through improving community welfare, “SROI seeks to reduce inequality and environmental degradation and improve welfare by including social, environmental costs and economic costs and benefits)."

PT SUCOFINDO has collaborated with various BUMN and private companies to evaluate the implementation of Social and Environmental Responsibility (TJSL) and CSR activities since 2016. Until now, for the BUMN environment, PT SUCOFINDO has provided services related to Social and Environmental Responsibility. (TJSL) including the calculation of SROI at 16 (sixteen) points in the territory of Indonesia for the Social and Environmental Responsibility program of State-Owned Enterprises/Subsidiaries of the State-Owned Enterprises (BUMN),.
