Indonesia tire export plunged 15.4% during January-May 2013 to 12.2 million units compared to the same period last year of 14.1 million units. This condition is a result of the unstable political and economic situation in the export destination countries.Azis Pane, Chairman of the Indonesian Tire Producers Association (APBI), said the ban export destination in Europe has not really apart from the impact of the economic crisis, as well as political turmoil in several Middle Eastern countries.
"The situation of economic crisis and political tensions in the export destination countries are not conducive, thus the volume export of Indonesia’s tires also declines," he said in Jakarta, Tuesday (06/25/2013). (aph)
