COFFEE FESTIVAL: Coffee for attracting international tourists

Indonesia is aimed at making coffee as a premium commodity in developing culinary industry, besides crowning it as an ambassador of industry tourism.As the world’s third largest coffee producer after Brazil and Colombia, coffee Indonesia is one of the best coffee in the world.
"One of the creative industries that we are developing is a culinary and coffee is beverage that can attract foreign tourists to visit Indonesia" said Sapta Nirwandar, Deputy Minister of Tourism and Creative Economy, Thursday (8/30/2012).
At least one million European tourists which visited Indonesia last year was a potential market as they drink coffee for 3 to 5 times a day.
The great number of foreign tourists from Japan, China and Korea also provides an opportunity to be a consumer of Indonesian coffee. Asian was known for its tradition and culture of tea and coffee.
To introduce Indonesian Coffee, Ministry of Tourism and Creative Economy also supports the Indonesian Coffee Festival entitled first Indonesian Coffee Festival 2012 in Bali, Indonesia, on 15-16 September 2012.
The festival is a joint partnership between the Ministry of Tourism and Creative Economy, Gianyar Regency, Empire Ubud, Association of Special Indonesia Coffee, Coffee Community, and Coffee Blogger.
Besides featuring coffees from various regions in Indonesia, the festival will show coffee processing and serving.(T03/msw)
