3 Malaysian companies control 178,000 ha land in Riau

Malaysian companies PT TH Indo Plantation, Minamas, and PT Adei recorded have managed at least 178,000 hectares of land in Riau province."Some of the land was in a variety of areas in Riau," said the Malaysian Consulate, Azizan Ismail, in Pekanbaru, Sunday, as cited by Antara. (02/09/2012).

Total management of the plantation, he added, every year is experiencing a fairly significant increase.

According to him, from the data, there are still many other companies from Malaysia which continue working on more plantations, from oil palm, rubber and latex.

He said there are also many in Riau professional workforce from Malaysia who have long worked in various areas of the company.

He admitted, all entrepreneurs also continue to run the commercial business in various business units and other industrial estates in particular.

Besides plantation, as Azizan said, there is also a Malaysian businessmen engaged in banking, one of that is CIMB Niaga.

"Then there is also in the automotive industry companies such as Proton. Later in lubricant industry, there is Petronas and aviation, such as Air Asia and Firefly," he said.

Meanwhile for areas of plantation, he added, the value of industrial output per year to reach US$612.5 million or IDR6.120 trillion. (T03/msw)
